Title: DSS interface with Eico 723
Post by: k2ldk on August 02, 2010, 10:36:57 AM
I am building a DSS kit with 250 mV output with a 200 ohm impedance. I want to use the DSS to control an EICO 723...6CL6 input. Already completed the plate modulator and I don't have a crystal for 3.885

Saw Doug DeMaws 1991 CQ article regarding the interface of solid state VFO's and vacuum tubes, but it is not specific enough for me to get me going in the right direction.

Anyone have advice?

Use a standard 2n5109 amplification/buffer from the ARRL books, and a step up toroidal output transformer, to the 6CL6.
