Title: Mosley TA-33 WARC Dipole
Post by: AB3FL on July 22, 2010, 10:32:37 AM
I will ask here, since the REAL experts are on this board.

How does the WARC dipole connect on a TA-33? Is it wired across the existing driver or does it use a sleeve feed?

thanks

I did actually call Mosley.  They said it connects to the main driver with phasing lines.  I would like to builld my own dipole add on for at least 17m and maybe also 12m.  I am trying to avoid paying the $350 for the add on from Mosley

Ah!

Well Mosely's matching system is "trick" - assuming they use the same matching system, you'd need to copy their dimensions exactly... other than that, i dunno! :D

Maybe someone else reading has some insights...

Have you tried something as simple as Google: "adding WARC bands to tri-bander" or "adding WARC bands to mosley tri-bander"

Of course!    and found nothing.  I am trying to use the same feedline for both.  Anyone can put  up a WARC dipole with a separate feedline.

You might tackle it from the point of view as to how to feed multiple dipoles from a single feedline rather then specifically how to interface your "TA-33" with a WARC dipole add-on.

You see them Prices :o

Pull that Junk down an put up an all-band dipole fed with Balanced ladder line an solve all the issues.  :D

Put your money an your work into a good Balanced Antenna Coupler.
