Has leenyars too. http://www.bunkerofdoom.com/lit/henshaw70www.pdf Title: Re: Henshaw's Mad World of CB 1970 catalog Post by: K5WLF on June 13, 2010, 04:42:45 AM The, uh, accessory with the Hy-Gain Colinear in the upper left corner of Page 16 looks pretty promising. And the slogan is great -- "No home should be without one" ;D
Fun trip back to the past. Actually had a Pace 2300 in a semi I drove back when. It'd put out 12 watts when peaked and tweaked. Which I think was more power than the truck engine could develop... ldb K5WLF Title: Re: Henshaw's Mad World of CB 1970 catalog Post by: Opcom on June 13, 2010, 05:06:21 AM Oh yeah- Hy-Gain seemed to always have great accessories! 8-P
Those old CB days were something else. People had respect and the CBers stayed on the CB and seldom got into 10M. Maybe got into a few TV sets with those leenyars they openly sold at the time. I did not realize there was a business band in that range or that it was AM requiring a linear amp. BTW, on page 19 is a Topaz inverter. I used one of those things in our communications service trucks in the early 70's and had to build a filter for it so I could power the Cushman service monitors. Phil - AC0OB |
