Title: Had some bad weather up here Post by: W1RKW on December 27, 2009, 12:11:57 PM Setup a personal weather station here in the shack. It's been online for about a month but uploading to the net about 5 days now. When I went to look at the conditions this morning on the net, my eyes popped out of my head. Notice the wind gust speed of 141mph. The shack is still standing. Sometime during the last 24 hours the computer the weather station is interfaced to locked up.

I know wind does accelerate around corners and such. Is your anemometer mounted up free and clear of everything else? As best as I can determine the wacky readings coincide with the time the computer locked up and maybe attributed to the lockup.

First photo is my QTH before I got to work on clearing the driveway; second is out back at the base of the 75 m. vertical and 160 inverted L this afternoon.
