Title: Vacuum Variable Clamps

I was working on the rig today and almost dropped a vacuum variable when it slid out of the flange clamp. I thought it was tight. Anyway, does anyone know how tight (inch pounds) to set the 10-32 clamp screw so it holds the cap but doesn't break the seal. I have never seen that spec anywhere.  I have a 2 inch clamp on the 500 pf plate tune and a 3 inch clamp on the load cap.

Al,
I have an email in to Jennings and will post the response when and if it comes.
I had both caps bolted into a plate and was trying to measure the right angle drive height. It fell right into my lap and would have hit the floor if the right angle drive wasn't attached. I bet this is the reason many new caps have the flange soldered to the cap or they are part of the cap.

TNX Rob, That is the cap and I assume the same number for the FM3 on the loading cap
