I wish I could have seen some of that stuff in its day. Of course I would be 100 years old now. Some of the small transmitters used what looked like BC-610 plug in coils. I didn't know they were used anywhere outside of the family of 610's.

I remember when I was in high school the local AM/FM station [WRAY] was running an old Gates on AM. 1 KW, daytime only. My cousin DJ'd there, so got to see the stuff up close. This was in the early 60's; graduated in 62. Wish I could remember which model they had, but the database in the brain needs defragged really bad.
