I'm trying to learn the manufacturer of an old plate transformer. It was made in the 1930s or 1940s, and has model number "PL-4" on it. The single winding primary is unmarked, and probably for 110 or 115 volts. The secondary is marked 1850-1500-0-1500-1850. It's probably rated at somewhere between 300 and 500 ma. You can see pictures of it at www.w8vr.org in the Modulator Power Supply folder. I've scoured the internet and all the available old catalogs of transformer mfgrs known to me, but no luck. I haven't even found an old transformer photo that looks like the same construction and I haven't found any mfgr that uses part numbers of the same format, as "PL-4," for plate transformers.
