A link to what is happening with the fire in LA. Many broadcasters might be affected.

The air is filled with smoke here in Denver, 800 miles from LA.
The noon sun is bright orange, barely making it through the haze and visibility is maybe two or three miles. Incredible.

I was up on Mt. Wilson in June. What a beautiful place. I bet it will take many decades to recover.
Wanna bet some moron tossed a butt out the window to start the fire.

MaNature is pretty fast for recovery. In a couple of years, you'll hardly know what happened.
I thought I heard that it might have been a PG&E electrical problem that started this.
There has been an update to the "CAM" and it seems that they are doing their homework and protecting the site from the onslaught from the flames. It will be the utilities like electric and comm lines (T-1's, Telco, Fiber) that may not be able to take the heat.......

I did notice a fair amount of juice headed to the top of the hill. When i drove up there in '81 you could get right up to the gate and the RF was so strong it blanked the car radio.
