Post by: ka3zlr on August 20, 2009, 06:04:47 PM I was wondering while playing with this little Vik I messenger bringing it up to 29 Mc's just where appropriately a good tap in port for a receive meter would be. first stage RF amp is a 6BJ6 next is 1 mixer it's a 12BE6 an 1 IF Amp 6BJ6.
Still suffering the last of the chemo treatments, but feeling like working again a little I can handle this much work any help would be much obliged. :) 73 Jack. Title: Re: Where at ? Post by: N2DTS on August 20, 2009, 06:59:44 PM You could put it in the cathode of the last IF amp, with some way to zero it, or sample the avc line into a balanced setup using a 12au7 tube.
I do the avc sample method, the Bill Orr book had a good circuit I used, its got balance and sensitivity adjustments ... Brett Title: Re: Where at ?
