Title: Looking for a transformer
Post by: AB3FL on July 23, 2009, 12:32:51 PM
I am looking for a transformer with the following:

Primary 120V
Secondary 200-0-200 @ 100ma and 6.3V @ 3A

or close  to that

Antique Electronics Supply has one  but at $43 which is too steep. Does anyone have such a transformer or  know where I can get one at a reasonable price.

thanks

Tom - AB3FL

might have something like that, but likely a bit more than 200V each side. How much can you tolerate?

I might not need it.  I think I found a suitable one. If  not, up to 300 will work

thanks

I have a cute little Hammond 269AX  250-0-250, 100 mA and 6.3 at 2A

It looks like a cutout from unused gear and it has a 2008 date code!

Let me know

Now that, Mike, would be an excellent xformer for a PP 6AQ5's modulator complete with a 12AX7 and 12AU7 in the speech amp/phase inverter stages.
 .. I can see it now, on a black crackle 5 x 7 x 2 or 3 chassis.  Ummm, hmmm.
