Title: Some funny moments!
Post by: xe1yzy on March 26, 2009, 11:39:43 PM
In the following video, you can see some operation moments of our last XE Heavy metal rally...

The fun begins when the viking zorch its out a BIG RF spark, and blow the fuse, quickly we move the transmitter to the bench, and put in the air some other rig, I replace the fuse, and after check if everything was ok, Im start to load the final plate, but ups!, I forget that the viking was still in the "contest frecuency"  ;D...

The operator in turn made a BIG jump, because he listen a BIG carrier into his "heil" hedphones. with a full RF gain in the Collins 51J4!!

Hope you enjoy.

Pedro,

Very nice and thanks for sharing, that is a beautiful station setup.  I used to be in Queretaro several times each year as part of executive MBA programs and providing some courses at ITESM but I haven't been down since 2003. Your city has the best strawberry milkshakes I have ever tasted and I still have cravings for them.

I look forward to next years rally when I should be able to participate.

Hi Pedro,

That video shows a great club station effort with lots of spirit!

I like the cabinet full of old gear on display, the multi operating positions as well as the workbench.

Looks like you guys have a lot of fun there.

I assume you cannot go above 3.800 Mhz?  Maybe we can meet you below 3800 for an AM QSO sometime soon.

40M is a good choice too.
