Title: Finding interesting old radio books. Post by: w5kcm on April 19, 2008, 08:14:39 AM Just a tip that I found that I thought I would pass on. If you have any of the Half Price Books stores in your area they usually have a section for radio books. Occasionally you can find a real treasure there for just a few bucks. I have been able to pick up old ARRL Handbooks for about $2. The price seems to vary a little from one store to the next. A while back I was able to find the Shortwave Receivers, Past & Present, Second Edition, by Fred Osterman for $5 at my local store. There seems to be an abundance of older tube type (40's, 50's) theory type text books. Electronics servicing for older tube type equipment.
