Title: Pittsburgh Broadcast Legend Dies
Post by: AB3L on February 27, 2008, 09:54:56 AM
Sadly we see the passing of Myron Cope. He had been out of the booth for a few years. The originator of "The Terrible Towel". With the Steelers thru the first four rings and thru the tuff times. Nice guy at the local grocery store as well. Yoi

Sorry to hear this. He is a legend. I used to listen to his sports call-in show on WTAE many years ago. The guy knew a ton about other sports too.

Doub-le oy!!! Hmmm, Haaa. Myron will certainly be missed by all of us "Stiller" fans. The radio show was less colorful and somewhat duller with his retirement.

I wonder if anyone caught his rendition of the Christmas song "Deck the Halls"? It was hilarious, right up there with the Tom Vu version of "Carol of the Bells." :)
