NOTHING one does to a guitar will make you a bettter musician. all that gooey gear only gets "tone". you still need to be able to play the darn thing. the greatest most soulful Jazz Clarinet ever played by a human was done by Lester Young on a tin student model Selmer. it wasn't the horn- it was the player.
