Title: Computer Question Post by: W4WSZ on February 18, 2008, 07:36:45 AM The hard drive in one of my computers needs to be formatted. It has files on the "D" portion. When I do a regular format, it does not remove the other files.
And yes, it is used for some "AM" work...hi What am I missing here ? Thanks, Bob Title: Re: Computer Question Post by: N1ESE on February 18, 2008, 08:22:43 AM Bob, when you format a hard drive these days, you are actually doing a high-level format of each partition you SPECIFY to format. A partition is labeled as C: D: E:, etc. Low-level formats where the whole drive was zero'd out and formatted are a thing of the past.
