Has been around for a while. I don't think there are any more free copies. Pretty expensive software now. I use it a lot in the Flintstone studio

CoolEdit is tough to beat. Very intuitive with loads of features. Makes a good test and measurement tool as well. Have used it for years on a number of unusual transmission mode projects. 

Found this on a quick search - you might be able to download an older 'trial' version here. Haven't verified that it's legit...

Older versions are available on epay for cheep.

The newer versions are more betterer...

Company has been bought, swallowed and incorporated into an Adobe product now.

More recent versions can be downloaded on the internet. "Those skilled in the art" can figure out how to effectively make use of all of the features from such a download... ;)
