Title: WELL WENT DRY...BUT GROUND SYSTEM...!
Post by: ve6pg on September 06, 2007, 03:04:50 PM
...hi from tim..
i live in the sticks, and with this summer of little rain, my well went dry...it is a dug well, with concrete casings, and had to go down there to install a 5ft sand point...lots of water now, and while i was down there, i installed 6 ground rods, all fed in parallel.. the system ties into all my ground system, and my ground current is way up...just a thought for those who are/will be servicing their wells....sk..

Wow you can still buy a point I want to do the same thing in the front yard. Water is only down about 5 feet. I would not do that with a pump in the hole sharing rods....

I have heard that if your SWR points change with dry and wet condx, then the radial system needs more wire to be laid out.
