I see in our local TV listing (Philadelphia area) that tonight a re-make of "On the Beach" will be shown at 7 - 11 p.m. channel 61 ION/Pax Network. I was not aware that there was a re-make. Dated 2000, it stars Armand Assante and Rachel Ward. "A submarine commander and his crew head for Australia when a nuclear war destroys most of humanity in 2006."
