My condolences to Steve and his family.

this is a terrible thing that anyone who rides has to live with. I often ponder whether or not I / we will make it back every time I throw a leg over it. I have lost a number of frienda over the years. All because motorists dont see or pay attention to us. I still feel that this is the reason that bikers will just about always greet each other and bid each other farewell at a get-together with hugs.

My thoughts and wishes go out to Steve As I have heard this story too many times before.

Well, one guy might not be driving so carelessly by motorcyclists anymore... this one idiot got a little too close to me yesterday, so at the next stop light he got a loud and angry re-education... He doesn't know how close he came to getting dragged out his minivan window, his ass kicked, and cell phone deeply implanted in same.

What a tragedy, made all the worse as Debbie was a mother of four, as well as a wife.
Steve is a good guy, and I'm sure we all appreciate what such a profound loss means.
In the midst of his loss, perhaps he may take some small comfort in seeing the
radio community pull together to support one of its own.

OM, you are in my thoughts and prayers, peace and understanding to you and your family.

Hey guys,

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. I lost my best friend, however the life we had together was outstanding in so many ways. 

One of the greatest gifts my wife and I gave each other was to talk of our mortality. Sometimes in a funny way and other times in a serious manner. Because of this, I knew what needed to be done and have no doubt on how she wanted life to go on. 

She quilted and rode a motorcycle I play radio and drove a Model T.   At times we rode bikes together and at times we drove together in the Model T.  She never got on the radio and I never tried to sew :)! We did raise our children, loved our family and laughed together

Yesterday was her funeral, tonight we are having a camp fire in the yard for her and tomorrow I will be back on the air, because that is what she wanted us to do!.

Steve, you have the most incredible outlook and attitude I've ever seen. As somewhat of a newlywed, it's reassuring and even comforting to see that your relationship gives you such strength to handle these trying times.

I look forward to seeing you at NEAR-Fest again in October, as well as working you on the air soon. It's been too long.
