So I did a little recording and Analysis...The Before and After, if you will.. The Audio, recorded straight off an RF Sampler between the transmitter and the dummy load: Bone Stock: http://www.riley-music.com/BowsStuff/BlackFace/StkBlackfaceAudio.mp3 Modded: http://www.riley-music.com/BowsStuff/BlackFace/VUDUMSNGR2.mp3 The Audio Analysis: http://www.riley-music.com/BowsStuff/BlackFace/ModdedBF.gif Red line is the bone stock Radio Blue line is 2 caps swapped (C24, C35) Green line is 3 caps swapped (C24, C31, C35) The Mods: C24, C31, C35 Stock Values: .005 uF Modification Values: 0.22 uF Jumper R48 to increase power output to 8-10 watts carrier Can you dig it? Ha ha, the original sounded so bad that my browser crashed every time I listened to it. But not the modded version!

At least you posted after listening. It was a fun project and I am really pleased with the outcome. It is amazing how much of a difference 3 caps (and a small rack of audio processing) make. Now I need to add some power and I'm ready for 10 meters.... I'm going to try and find another Messenger to play with...
