The thread turned personnal as many of these types of threads do. The line was crossed and I guess the moderators pulled the thread. I apologise to Rick who started the thread as the original thrust of the thread wasn't pointing fingers at anyone but simply pointing out a comparison of costs and btu's. This is why we prefer to talk about something we all can somewhat agree on - - - RADIO. It is interesting to see that all of the flamming and posts pulled here were never associated with radio topics. Jay ( N3WWL) runs a tight ship when it comes to this kind of stuff and I thank Jay and his team for intervening and removing the thread. For those of you that did not know, Jay handles all of the Membership registration, verification, and moderation on AMfone and it is a big job and his time and efforts are really appreciated. Thank yuh, Thank yuh very much. It was kind of wierd.... All kinds of stuff swirling around my stuff and I didn't even have a clue. Sort of like AM. I just missed a QSO 'tween you and the Tron. Gotta get on 75 more. But I did sleep at a Holiday Inn last night. Seem to work 40 a whole lot more. -Us retired farts in the morning, y'know. and yeah, God Bless the ARRL; 250kc A1 only, on every band reserved for CW the last 70 years. Uh Oh, probably started another one. : ) |
