I once knew... but you can download both schematics I believe from the BAMA site and compare the circuits. I think there may also be a discussion of this in one of the mods on the AM Window site, or with the BAMA schematics in the Heath section...

Someone here will doubtless know in some detail too.

DX100 Has switched caps for loading,  4 xtal sockets and no provision for an SB10.

DX100B has linear single variable cap for loading (limited Z range), 1 XTAL socket and input/output for  SB10.  Otherwise identical.

The DX 100 has a limited matching range on 160.  Somewhere I read about how to change that by modifying the matcing coil in the final.  If your antenna for 160 is near the 50 ohm resistive point, you should be able to use it just fine.  Mine put out the 100 watts into an inverted L with 45 ft. vertical and 120 ft. horizontal.  I feed it with a series variable of about 250-300 pf using 50 ohm coax.

My DX 100 has the modification of the variable cap in the pi net and not the turnstile mica thingie.  Get the antenna right or use a tuner.

Jim is correct. The original version could match from 25 ohms to 600 ohms. The B version  can only match from about 25 or so ohms to about 100 or so. Much limited.  Use a tuner on 160 if you can. I use either a Heath 2060, or a Dentron Super Tuner.   I'm building a balanced tuner for 160.
