Title: A Blast From the Past- A Legendary Connecticut DJ - RIP
Post by: W1RKW on May 04, 2006, 03:13:33 PM
There has never been a DJ to this day like this guy. Stoneman was his radio name and had in my opinion one of the best radio shows going.  Nobody has topped it since.   For those who live/lived in CT during the early 70's, this will be a blast from the past for those who listened to his evening shows.  Enjoy.

Make sure you're pop-up blocker is turned off.  Otherwise you might have trouble getting it to play like I did. It  took me a while to get it to work after I figured that Google pop-up blocker was the cause. Also make sure IE's popup blocker is turned off too.

I never knew this until recently but when Stoneman went to WCCC some time later he had passed away.  I never knew this and just assumed he wasn't happy not being at WPLR when they had changed management back then and figured he'd just disappeared out of radio altogether.  But after a little digging on the internet recently I found out that he had passed on soon after going to WCCC.  He was young.
