Title: Modified D-104 Preamp
Post by: WA1LGQ on November 06, 2005, 02:51:19 PM
This looks like a good D-104 mic base stand preamp alternative. From N9WB.........http://www.qsl.net/hcara/D-104.htm

I built up one of these in a non-amplified D104 a few years back. It works quite well with some older gear that didn't sound too good with a straight 104 mic - like Drake, Heath, etc. I used a piece of perf board to mount the components on.

Kachunk?  Ever look at the output of an amplified D-104 on a scope?  The PTT-ON spike is truly impressive.   Is there any reason to believe this circuit is any better?
