Title: Screen Dropping Resistor
Post by: wb1aij on October 23, 2005, 03:25:18 PM
It seems that the screen dropping resistor in my homebrew 813 rig got zorched. It needs to be 40K ohm and capable of 66 watts of  dissapation as I am dropping 2000 + volts of plate voltage to obtain 400 volts for the screen grid. There are non to be had on e-bay or Newark Electronics. Does anyone out there have something that will get me back on the air. I will gladly pay with Greenspan Greenbacks, Pay Pal, or trade electronic stuff.

Hi Bob, Mouser has 'em.   You could use a couple 20K in series or a 50K...

That is exactly what I am looking for. Thank you for helping me get this rig back on the air.
