Title: 60 Meters is open
Post by: W2PFY on October 22, 2005, 05:39:07 PM
At 17.15 PM I just worked Paul G0HNW over in Northern  England. Signals were weak but it's improving. Frequency 5403.50 kc. First time for me.  ;D ;D ;D :) :) :) :) He's still on there calling CQ.

I think if we don't use 60m (USB only), then we will never get a proper non-channelized allocation in this rannge.  I say use it.  Even if it's not AM.

I don't understand the question?

I'll guess. IC-746 SSB upper side. If you need all the frequencies, let me know

i have had some nice QSO's on 60 meteres. unfortunately the only guy i have heard there who i know is Glen WA3GPE. well, i used to know him anyway. i think it's a great band, but too damn quiet. a bunch of us AM'ers orta go up there and take it over, even if we have to go on sideband. it might be a good place to flush certain sideband nets that crowd the AM window to as well.

Chris - I can go there, even on silly sidewash. Let's do a sked there sometime. The path between you and I would be superb 24 hours a day.

What ever happened to that guy. Did he fall down and crack his head? I've heard him on sideband crowding existing AM contacts about a half dozen times over the years. He used to be an AM himself. Makes little sense.
