Title: In need of controll
Post by: KB2WIG on December 27, 2023, 09:00:07 PM

I'm looking for 24 Volt ~2+ Ampere power supply recommendation(s). Currently, some shack control stuff is 24 V, but I need to expand things.

Thars lots 'o stuff from Chin's land online, but I don't want to put all my trust onto Amazon.

tnx,

klc

eBay searches for 24v linear power supply turns up stuff like this
https://www.ebay.com/itm/204488937999 (https://www.ebay.com/itm/204488937999)

These and similar models last forever, even the filter caps go much longer than one expects.

I have been happy with the meanwell brand. I think I have the 200W one on my rig which is overkill.

Those Antek supplies are not regulated. See the Spec sheet.

True. The used eBay one I linked is regulated. But if all it’s going to run is relays, this wouldn’t matter.  It will matter when you modify/add to the system some circuit that needs a regulated source…then you get to buy the same supply twice ;-)
