What part,  Los Angeles?

If so,  apex Jr or apex electronics is a ham fest in and of itself.

Otherwise,  I don't know of any.   The swap is the first weekend of month,  I believe.....   But it's been a couple decades since I made that.

Visalia (mid state)  last weekend.

Hey bud,

Yup,  sure is.   San Fernando Valley,  actually.

It's about a third of a city block,  square.   Surplus.

A wall of iron.

Tubes,  although they have been picked over for most ceramics,  there is a lot of glass,  visible and hidden.

I saw a vg condition globe chief in one of the test equip aisles.   Unknown condition,  but worthy of some work,  it was clean.

Wire (Teflon and other)  in sizes from mini to very large.   Sold by the foot,  pound (for pieces)  and rolls.

Saw a couple 4cx600s on the counter,  a bunch of Jennings and comet vac variables......   Insulated shaft couplings..   You get  idea.

Outside is amazing,  too.

Plan on a third to half day,  if you have the time.   Prices are as marked,  and if not marked,  ask at the counter.

http://apexelectronics.com for hours and location.

I got my owl insulators and standoffs from them.

If you don't mind a couple hour drive,  Murphys in El Cajon (San Diego)  is good.   Frank 'gfz has brought them up before and can vouch for them.   Apex is twice the size however.

Murphys gets things like Collins 208U-10 s,  pallets of 30L1s, etc.   Way better connected to military surplus.   Been a few years since I was there,  so have no idea about current inventory.

Http://www.murphysjunk.com I believe.

Hope it helps.  :)

Shane and Frank,
Thanks, quite an experience!  Picked up some misc parts I needed and an Eico  720 for $40 - needs love. There is even a single engine plane in pieces. Retirement project
Sign at front door said "Pictures not allowed", but some guy in a trench coat outside sold me theses.

PS  Frank, I tried to reply to your PM, but it said you had blocked replies from me. Was it something I said ?  :)

They have another building,  almost all movie props.

Other high dollar items as well.

Takes an arm,  foot and maybe a first born to get access. Lol.

It is a great place for parts.   And,  even though I live a hundred plus miles away,  I'm in  neighborhood at least weekly :-)

Glad you enjoyed.   Feel better about the knob now.
