Hi,
I was reading the very interesting thread here about the class "D" transmitter.
Learned about the SuperSenior and the IndexLabsAMXmtrs Yahoo forum, and have done more reading.

K7DYY says he will have some available in May.
As my first attempt at a homebrew is plodding along at glacial speed, it might be fun
to try a SuperSenior in the meanwhile.

I read about the D-104 use w/ SuperSenior, and the K7DYY board for it.

However, found this pile'o stuff in the shack that needs to be used for something.

Originally going to use the Audimax 4440A and Volumax 4300 w/ Shure preamp/eq and SM7B mic on the 32v-2.

However, subsequently learned that a certain transformer in the 32v-2 is already marginal, and would reach the temperature of molten Plutonium
if driven with signals from the CBS "MAXX brothers"

So they collect dust now.

Might be fun to set up these to provide input to the SuperSenior, or is that a bad idea too?

No, it's not a bad idea (assuming those are the AM versions). And it's not a bad idea to use those processors with your 32V. They control the peaks which should protect the transformers. Yes, the average will be higher, but your can always set the level a little lower, if you are concerned.

I've used processors with my 32V for more than 25 years without a hitch.

In addition to protecting mod iron and RF circuits from arc overs due to excessive voltages, these devices will give you a cleaner sound than you would get by letting positive peaks run wild, and at the same perceived volume. Either you clip the peaks cleanly or they get clipped by most receiver detector circuits. Propogation distortion is also reduced be reigning in asymmetry.

The Audimax should have a three postion switch for setting release time (density).

Those two units make a great combination!
