Title: Re: aerial-view-of-tower-falling Post by: W3RSW on February 18, 2015, 05:06:05 PM Wow, and quite a complex at that facility. Must have been shot with a drone since long shots seem to zoom in close behind a building at the end.
We had two men killed in just such a tower fall here, Clarksburg, WV, just about a year ago. This ipad won't let me attach copy of link but it can be found with search at wboy.com An Oklahoma contractor was cited I believe. Title: Re: aerial-view-of-tower-falling Post by: W3LSN on February 18, 2015, 07:54:46 PM This video is of a controlled demolition. If you looking at the paint bands, you can see that most of it had already been disassembled leaving just a few bottom sections beneath what must have been the bottom sets of guy wires. Looks likes it must have been a rather tall tower at one time.

From the skid which shows up in a few parts of the video, looks like it was taken from a helicopter. Front of the skid kind of looks like a Jet Ranger's/OH-58.
