Title: My Collins 32V1 change over box Post by: w1vtp on October 20, 2013, 03:42:43 PM I finally have my Collins back in place - many thanks to Tim HLR. I can't even pick up one end of it. I thought I'd document my change over box for those of you who might come into possession of a 32V1 in the future. I did not research the later models but would be happy to research the connections if necessary. Just a note: linear operation is possible for the V1 because of the split winding on the HV PS. Normal operation has the windings in parallel while low power for linear operation has the windings in series. Nevertheless, for normal operation without a linear, one could just eliminate the linear from the mix.
Hope this will be of help for some of you in the future. Just another note: these photos are large in size but have been reduced in file size by compressing the JPEG. Anyone desiring the full blown file size just email me and I'll be happy to supply them.
