I wish you good luck finding a replacement for that choke. It might be a better stratigy to start hunting for a rebuilder. A few transformer winding companies still exist. I had the modulator bias supply choke rewound by Peter Dahl when it went bad. Both yours and mine are potted. My replacement was put in the original can for looks. Dahl said It didn't need potting and most broadcast engineers would have agreed. I wanted it to look original and work right.

Speaking of transformers, your plate supply transformer is at least the third differant type of construction I have seen. The tell tail it is original is the ugly yellow lettering the factory used to mark wiring locations. Your tranny is much smaller than most.

Good job on the GTO rewire. I did mine completely as well. No tywraps however. I learned the knot and tied it all. Dont forget to do the interlock GTO above the rear door. It's up high and in a tough place but probably needs to be freshened up.

Your having way too much fun!

Mike

KO6NM is currently running two of them on 75, another source for data on the tank parameters.
