Title: Beautiful Transmitter / Receiver at Orlando Hamfest Post by: ka4koe on February 11, 2013, 10:39:49 AM Saw my very first Johnson Viking Valiant and a Hammarlund SP600 this past weekend at the Orlando Hamfest. A gentleman had them in back of his red hatchback. The radios were outstanding examples of Howard Mills' restoration work. I lost the guy's eyeball qso card, but he lives in Ft. Myers, Florida.
The radios were so pretty it took my breath away. I didn't have sufficient funds on hand, and all I could say was, "Man, this is breaking my heart". Someday. So, you should have another chance to snag them down the road. There were several at the Richmond, VA Frosfest a few weeks ago. AMfone - Dedicated to Amplitude Modulation on the Amateur Radio Bands
