Your Audio is Way To Wide. There is hum on my audio; Watts wrong? klc Title: Re: QSO velly quiett Post by: K1JJ on February 07, 2013, 12:22:00 PM It's just the calm before the storm.
They are predicting an "epic" snowstorm, 2 feet or more in CT. I love snow - so bring it on! Going to the supermarket now. T Title: Re: QSO velly quiett Post by: W2VW on February 07, 2013, 12:23:55 PM Might have to use my nearly 100% efficient tube final.
Title: Re: QSO velly quiett Post by: W3RSW on February 07, 2013, 12:56:49 PM Have fun up there. Get out the horse, harness and sled. Sit by the fire, sip a hot toddy and forget the wired whirl for awhile. Light those kerosene lamps. Snuggle up with your sweetie under tons of down quilts.
You know, Currier and Ives. Title: Re: QSO velly quiett Post by: Todd, KA1KAQ on February 07, 2013, 02:53:20 PM Quiet is good. It means more people are getting on the air, spending time with family, or taking care of other real-life chores instead of hanging out online. 'fone is a tool, not a lifestyle. Disco was a lifestyle, and look what happened there. ;D
Why, I even saw someone post that Don/KYV has been heard on the air lately. Hearing a big AM signal means more AM activity, which is always encouraging. And 'JJ is building stuff again, or rebuilding, or repackaging, or.....he's up to something, that boy. The big snowstorm should provide a wonderful opportunity for folks in the northeast to get in some excellent air time. That's the one thing I miss down here, along with my woodstove. http://amfone.net/Amforum/index.php?topic=33332.0 I talked to Mike and this setup today for an hour on 15 meter AM. It sounded awesome. Very clean. Really a cool aproach to AM. By the way, its been 70 to 72F here with Blue skys. Just played a round of Frizbee with the Golden retriever.. LOL. Shoot the groundhog!
Title: Re: QSO velly quiett Post by: w1vtp on February 07, 2013, 08:12:32 PM Good luck to all you guys. I pray that the folks Pete just mentioned can find shelter. Maybe this storm will hang a right out to sea AMfone - Dedicated to Amplitude Modulation on the Amateur Radio Bands
