Title: Kenwood TR-2600 2 meter handheld
Post by: Knightt150 on January 31, 2013, 03:03:51 PM
Hello: I have an old KENWOOD TR-2600 handheld that I use a lot, I also have another one that has a beat up case. I really don't know if it works, I wonder if anyone knows of someone who would work on the good one, the spare parts would be in the beat up one, because I doubt if you can get parts for the radio's anymore. My eye's are to weak and hands to shakey to work on these radio's.

Are you saying the one you use doesn't work now? There are still parts available for the TR-2600.

Thank you Pete for the info on this, KENWOOD no longer works on this radio. They are going to send me some info on some people who might.

Hi John,

I wish you luck with your TR-2600. I remember them! My last "Shack on a Belt" was the Kenwood TH-78A dual band HT. Like you I still have it and it still works great. It probably won't take long to find a fixer. Good Luck!
