Title: Hello!
Post by: VE3GZB on July 01, 2012, 08:08:07 PM
Hi

I haven't fallen off the face of the earth, and I'm sorry if I haven't spent any time to stop by more often. As you can imagine, life has been busy.

Life continues to be kind to us, Yvonne still struggles with little and big things which we all take for granted, things such as being able to hold her balance while walking, but she continues to remain alive and not have to do any returns to the hospital.

I still try to get onto the radio now and then. But of a shake up here, lost my job recently due to the economic turmoil in Europe, but managed to get another job within the month, so nobody is suffering.

Besides amateur radio I'm also engaged in music, specifically with the Russian Gusli, the Finnish Kantele and the Latvian Kokle. I try to get some live performance in my area here and there, now and then, and often I bring Yvonne along so she can enjoy the situation. It's good to be able to earn a few dollars this way and it's also a very nice activity!

I didn't want anyone here to think I'd simply dropped off the planet and have ignored anyone. I still think with fondness of the kindness and good wishes so many many of you sent to my wife and I'll never forget such a kindness!

Thank you and 73s de geo

Geo,

Its good to get an update from you.  I remember your prior progress reports on Yvonne very well and its nice to hear things are going well.

Its also good to hear that you found another job so quickly.

Best Wishes to both of you!

Hey George,

Keep playing, both radio & music.  It makes the world a better place.
