Title: Dyn-Air Electronics, Inc. San Diego. CA Post by: Opcom on June 05, 2011, 08:06:03 PM Does anyone know where I can find a manual or schematic for this kind of gear? I have not found any 'tribute' sites and the company seems to have disappeared into the ages.
I have a TX-4A solid state television modulator, nice rackmount unit xtal ctrl'd on channel 3 and another one on 13. Says DYNA-MOD on the front. Opening the cover exposes very easily worked-on circuit boards. I've had several Dyn-Air equipments over the years, always nice stuff. Also have a Jerrold Uni-Mod UM-8 (ch 8) modulator, also rackmount. Title: Re: Dyn-Air Electronics, Inc. San Diego. CA Post by: Pete, WA2CWA on June 05, 2011, 11:10:24 PM Drop the "dash" in the name. Here's the obituary of the owner of DYNAIR Electronics: http://www.signonsandiego.com/uniontrib/20040319/news_1m19gramman.html
DYNAIR Trademark info: http://www.trademarkia.com/company-dynair-electronics-inc-369484-page-1-2 Looks like the current DYNAIR Electronics is located in Santa Monica, CA and has a Chinese connection. Google turned up about 19,000 hits on Dynair Electronics but only a few with manuals. Title: Re: Dyn-Air Electronics, Inc. San Diego. A factory guy told me they also did a lot of wiring looms for the NASA shuttles. Sad to see them go. 73DG |
