Title: tornados and antennas - Dallas TX Post by: Opcom on September 08, 2010, 11:41:29 PM Despite arriving back from IL. today to the lot where I stored my military truck just in time to be be chased out by a roaring funnel, I found my antenna project and the house and lab intact and unmolested. There were two tornados on the ground. Thank God those tornados missed my stuff
Has anyone in Dallas suffered damage from the hurricane-spawned storms? Title: Re: tornados and antennas - Dallas TX Post by: WQ9E on September 09, 2010, 07:36:05 AM Mother nature says, "welcome home!" :) I am glad you escaped injury and damage.
I used to go climbing and hiking in Colorado every summer and I don't think I ever drove through Nebraska without going through a tornado warning area. I also never saw a live deer in NE but there are so many dead ones on I-80 I wouldn't care to drive it at night. There have been a few Mulies around that decided they love ripe apples off the tree. They have no respect, I can almost walk right up to them and they slowly walk away. The only time they really take off is if I let the dog chase them. Title: Re: tornados and antennas - Dallas TX Post by: WD8BIL on September 09, 2010, 01:11:49 PM Funny!
Dog's like to have fun too! Title: Re: tornados and antennas - Dallas TX Post by: W3SLK on September 09, 2010, 10:48:27 PM "Its floodin' down in Texas, all the telephone lines are down......." Stevie Ray Vaughn
