I'd love to know what Honest Abe was saying that has the rest laughing so hard.  How honest can someone be at the poker table anyway? 8)

Great rendering.

My bet is on Dick Nixon winning the hand.  He was a real card sharp in the Navy during WWII and amassed $3,000.  He used the winnings to bankroll his first campaign for office.

Nixon graduated HS in Whittier, CA. At the time it was traditional for the Senior Class to steal an outhouse from a local farm and put it on the end-of-school-year bonfire. As Senior Class pres, Dick set a record that probably still stands. He ramrodded the acquisition of a four-holer for the bonfire.

I just ran the inflation calculator.  $3k in 1945 equals $35k today.  wow.
