Title: HPSDR to become a real rig
Post by: WA1GFZ on March 04, 2009, 09:16:33 AM
Just received a message from the mother ship. Soon there will be a chassis for HPSDR and my modified MRI amp will fit right across the back. gagle of boards will be soon, non JS.  Looks like plenty of room for a power supply.
300 watt final derated to 100 watts should hang in there. Future boards network analyzer and GPS locked reference.

Pete will be real happy for ya.  ;D
He hates lots of wires running around a rig, the install and js time, etc.
But I'd like to see all the wires running around his 'shacke...'
sometimes beauty is in the eyes...

..  and fractally speaking, what's the diff. between wires running around multiple rigs, antennae, rotors, etc. from those running between boards?

Just the scale.

I was getting a bit worried about ESD this winter. I wouldn't go near it without a static strap on my hide.
