Title: MRF-492 RF transistors
Post by: KC2DGP on November 14, 2008, 02:05:01 AM
-Does anybody have any experience working with MRF 492 RF transistors?
-How do they compare to SC2879's in a linear used on HF?
Any thoughts or oppinions would be appreciated!

Thanks,
-Mike

looks like the device Mot used in the low band 100 watt rigs. They work well at class C but not sure of the performance in AB. I suppose it has a lot of extra gain at 2 MHz. FETs are so much easier to use.
