Steve - K4HX:

Some frequencies where AM is most often heard.

6 Meters

50.4 MHz (USA)

2 Meters

144.425 MHz (USA, Massachusetts)
144.265 MHz (USA, Los Angeles, CA)
144.28 MHz (USA, NYC-Long Island)
144.4 MHz (USA, Northwest)
144.45 MHz (USA, California)

Pete, WA2CWA:

I think you're right about 144.28. Haven't heard anyone there for years. We might want to consider, if there's enough interest, to use 144.265 or 144.270 has a typical gathering spot for AM. Far enough away from most general SSB activity and below the FM repeaters, D-STAR activities, beacons, and other digital diddles.

ARRL Band Plan for part of 2 meters.
144.10-144.20    EME and weak-signal SSB
144.200    National calling frequency
144.200-144.275    General SSB operation
144.275-144.300    Propagation beacons
144.30-144.50    New OSCAR subband
144.50-144.60    Linear translator inputs
144.60-144.90    FM repeater inputs

Hi all,
I am voting for 144.270 for 2M AM gathering. N4JOY and myself have pretty much decided to use that frequency for our 2M schedule here in central Florida. Probably sometime Sunday evenings. We're on 6 at 50.4 at 6:30 EST Sunday evenings now. Stop by and say HI!  :)

Am I just imagining this or was 50.58 an AM frequency at one time too?
