Silver Polish for Discolored Dials

I've found that silver polish does an excellent job removing hazing and smoke residue from plastic dials. Wright's silver cream seems to do a particularly good job at this task.  It is very mildly abrasive, and so it is less likely to remove dial lettering than other commonly used cleaners such as Brasso.
