Last nights conditions on 160
WA2SQQ:
Is he running a cw beacon?
WA2SQQ:
So it happened again two night ago. 10 minutes after his local sunset I worked K9FD (Hawaii) again at about 11:00 pm local Eastern time. If this is any indication of how 160 will be this winter, it’s going to be a good DX season! My quarter wave sloper continues to amaze me.
KA8WTK:
Was in a local net on 1.880 last night. The band was as free of QRN as I can remember.

Reached out to him and it turns out he has a 30acre site that was an old A.M. broadcast site with a huge radial field
I am not surprised to hear that he got some land that once hosted a AM radio station. I read that the last AM station on the big island was going off the air a couple years ago. I wonder if at any time they ever used SW to broadcast to all the islands? Anyhow back to FT8................Congratulations!
