Does anyone 'here' have a go to supplier for Tektronix parts? Google may be my friend, but I'd rather ask 'here' than sift through the 3.29 Meg hits.

I am looking for the range selector knob assembly for a 453.

Try putting out your query on TekScopes@yahoogroups.com.  Lots of very smart and experienced folks on there!

What is a "Range Selector Knob"??
Do you want the knobs or what is behind them?
And if it's what is behind, what exactly is the problem/symptom.

Also, you can buy a complete, but perhaps working, perhaps not,  453 on ebay rather inexpensively... fwiw.

Gack! I guess iwas suffering from post stuff syndrone..... its the TIME/DIV knob assembly.

Ill take a pic of the part(s) and post 'em when I get back home...... the Tex group was going to be a goto resource; asking here makes things a bit easier, as I have a feel for whom is capable and who is covered with snake oil or dont know watt they don't kno.

Today the rest of the 160m eL goes up (I hope), the oil gets changed, and I become enlitened.

Steven, The 453 is a bit more modern than what you have. Thank you for looking though..... I do have a RM45 that is dead; it is a rack mounted 545. Maybe we can talk sometimes later.

Chris, I'm a 'member of the Ya hoo group. I'll probably try that route soon.

Bear, I was online and took a quick look last night.   When you figure in some of the shipping costs....

Robert, he has done some nice work.
