He wanted $1800 for a package including the Avenger + matching speaker + Thunderbolt II. I think there is only one other Thunderbolt II in captivity and maybe 6 or 7 Avengers? You'd definitely be the only kid on the block with that setup!

Would have loved to have run across that Howard 440 receiver... but I wasn't there on Thursday... <sigh>... but I did pick up a really nice Howard 430 on Saturday. Its sort of a baby brother to the 440 but has a straight slide rule dial.. very deco styling!

Currently running a big homebrew transmitter (pair of 250THs modulated by a pair of 810s) paired up with a National HRO-50.  I also run a BC-610-I / NC-2-40D combo which is a lot of fun too.
