Look at the spec's on these products.. The white strip lights up my bench area enough to operate and take notes. This would be great for battery operated portable stations.

Those super bright blue leds make great diodes for a double balanced mixer and have a higher dynamic range than standard diodes. And yes they glow to tell you the local oscillator level is good.

Such a bright idea! Also, probably it is possible to balance by brightness? ;)

now seeing them in use
almost everywhere

     going to make up set of running lights
for my sailing dinghy
red green white
run it all summer on few C cells
